The Growth of Incubation in Indiana: Innovation Pointe
Innovation Pointe, a high-tech business incubator in downtown Evansville operated by Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville (GAGE), recently added five new companies to its roster of clients. In addition, GAGE President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Wallace says two existing companies have expanded their operations as the incubator adds a new floor of operations. “We had all of our incubation efforts on the second floor, and we've finished construction of the third floor,” he says. “That has doubled our floor space for incubation.”
In addition, GAGE and Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, (NSWC Crane) recently announced they have entered into an innovative technology transfer agreement that will allow businesses to access Crane's sophisticated technology and dozens of patents with the goal of helping companies commercialize new products and innovation.
